Playa Hermosa is one of the most attractive destinations in Costa Rica and enjoys calm waters, perfect for swimming year 'round and a multitude of other exciting activities.  Playa Hermosa is a unique location in that it is secluded and tranquil, yet just minutes from great dining, attractions and nightlife. 

Hotel El Velero is located a 20 minute drive from the Liberia International Airport (LIR) and central to many of Guancaste's most exciting tours and attractions.  The drive time from San Jose is around 4 hours and all on paved, which are well maintained (by Costa Rican standards).

This section of Guancaste is rapidly becoming the premier tourist destination in Costa Rica, and with good reason.  There are a multitude of small, secluded beaches, fine dining, championship golf courses, world class sport fishing, jungle, hiking trails and many natural wonders.
